Interior Car Cleaning
Deep cleaning for seats, floors, carpets and every interior surface — done at your place.

Protection before winter
Wax does two useful things. It makes paint look deeper and more reflective, and it puts a sacrificial layer between your finish and everything the road throws at it.
In a city where the roads are salted for months and the air carries salt the rest of the year, the second one is not a cosmetic argument. A1 Car Cleaning waxes vehicles at your address in Saint John.
Applying wax over a dirty surface traps grit against the finish and works it in as you buff. That is how waxing produces marks instead of removing them.
So waxing always follows a proper hand wash. Our wax service includes it — not as an upsell, but because the result depends on it.
Wax is applied across the painted panels and buffed back to a consistent finish. Uneven application is what produces the patchy, streaky look people associate with a bad wax job, so the buffing-back stage matters as much as putting it on.
Panel edges and the areas around trim and badges collect residue and are the first place a rushed job shows, so those get checked deliberately before we finish.
Wax is a wearing layer, not a permanent coating. It gradually breaks down through weather, washing and UV exposure, which is exactly why it works — it takes the abuse instead of your paint. It does need reapplying periodically.
It is also not paint correction. Existing swirls and defects remain underneath; wax makes clean paint look better and gives it some protection. If your finish has real damage, wax is not the answer to that.

You provide the water and electricity — we bring the cleaning expertise.
Why A1 Car Cleaning
Road spray and grime sit on the wax rather than directly on your finish.
Clean panels with wax on them read noticeably better than clean panels alone.
Rain beads and runs rather than sitting flat on the panels.
Because waxing over trapped grit does more harm than good.
How it works
No shop appointment, no waiting room. Here is the whole process.
Call, email or send the booking form. Tell us your vehicle and roughly what condition it is in.
Pick the services your vehicle needs. Not sure? Describe it and we will recommend honestly.
Park somewhere we can work around the vehicle, with an outdoor tap and a power outlet nearby.
We arrive at your address and get on with it. You carry on with your day.
Because we clean at your location, we ask that you have an outdoor tap and a standard power outlet available. Most driveways, garages and parking spots already have both.
Local knowledge
Late autumn is the most useful window here. Getting wax onto the paint before the salt trucks start out means the winter’s road spray has something to sit on other than your finish.
A second wax in spring, after a wash that clears out the winter’s salt, is the natural companion to that — it resets the paint before the summer and gets the corrosive residue off first.

“Our dog leaves hair everywhere after a road trip, especially in the back seats. The amount they removed was impressive, including from the seams.”

“Communication was straightforward from booking to finish. The hand wash was careful, thorough and very convenient in our own driveway.”
“The vents, cupholders and small console gaps were the areas I could never get right myself. They look dramatically better now.”
“I booked a wash and wax before winter and appreciated the clear explanation of what was included. The paint looked clean and glossy when it was done.”

Questions
Anything not covered here, just ask when you get in touch.
Wax is a wearing layer rather than a permanent coating, so it needs renewing periodically. How quickly it wears depends on weather, where the car is parked and how often it is washed. In this climate many owners wax before winter and again in spring.
